P-3C Orion

The P-3C Orion is a foundational maritime patrol aircraft. Its manufacturer, Lockheed Martin, has a long history with this design, which has proven effective for over fifty years in roles ranging from anti-submarine warfare to surveillance and intelligence gathering. Modified P-3s have also been used for diverse non-military missions globally, including environmental studies, search and rescue, and monitoring shipping lanes.
