N24A

The N24A is part of the Government Aircraft Factories (GAF) Nomad family, an aircraft line renowned for its short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities. GAF, based in Melbourne, Australia, was foundational to the country’s aerospace industry, originally focused on military production and later expanding to indigenous designs like the Nomad.

Production of the Nomad series began in 1972 at the GAF factory, with the first production aircraft flying in October 1974. The N24A, a turboprop airliner, was developed to meet utility and regional transport needs.

Access solutions are foundational for comprehensive maintenance across this aircraft. Modular stepover platforms, trestle scaffolds, and super maintenance platforms assist with reaching the Nose Section for avionics and windshield care, and the Forward Fuselage for cargo and cabin access. Cantilever platforms and elevated stands provide detailed, methodical access to the Wing & Engine Pylon area, including the engine’s turbine, fan, and hydraulic systems. Access solutions also support the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage) for work on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and the rudder.
