MX-7-180B

The MX-7-180B is a short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft, part of Maule Air’s respected MX-7 series. This model features a taildragger configuration and is powered by a 180 hp Lycoming O-360 engine, providing a balance of performance and fuel efficiency. It is recognized for its agility and versatility, often used for demanding flights and featuring generous cargo space.

Maule Air, Inc., based in Moultrie, Georgia, has a long and foundational history in aviation, starting as a vision developed by B.D. Maule. Maule founded the company in 1941, and began producing aircraft with the “Bee-Dee” M-4 in 1957. Over its first 50 years, the private, family-owned company delivered 2,500 aircraft, building a legacy based on sturdy, single-engined STOL designs. The company remains committed to producing aircraft capable of reliable performance in challenging conditions.

A range of platforms and access solutions are available to support maintenance on this aircraft. Cantilever and modular stepover platforms offer ideal access for inspection and work on the Wing & Engine Pylon section, specifically areas like the engine inlet/exhaust, fan, and compressor. Ladder platforms are foundational for general access and reaching the Nose Section, including the windshield and cockpit. Trestle scaffold can be utilized for broad coverage across the Forward Fuselage, Wing Box Area, and AFT Fuselage, ensuring safe access for tasks like cargo door inspection and wing tank maintenance.
