MS 892 A

The MS 892 A is part of the Socata Rallye family of touring and trainer aircraft. This variant, specifically the MS.892 Rallye Commodore 150, is characterized by its 150 hp Lycoming O-320 engine, differentiating it from earlier models. It was later marketed as the Rallye 150. The aircraft is recognized for its unique high-lift leading edge slats across the full span of the wing, offering impressive low-speed handling and short-field performance.

The aircraft’s lineage traces back to Socata (Société de Construction d’Avions de Tourisme et d’Affaires), which was initially formed from Morane-Saulnier’s general aviation activities. Socata was eventually acquired by Groupe Aerospatiale, a foundational European aerospace entity. This manufacturing history positions the MS 892 A within a tradition of reliable, high-performance light aircraft design from a major French aerospace corporation.

A range of platforms and access solutions assists with detailed maintenance around the MS 892 A. These products, including the Reach Deck Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms, provide stable height access for crucial maintenance tasks. They facilitate access to the Nose Section (including the Windshield and Cockpit), Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), and the Wing and Engine Pylon areas. Specialized stands also support thorough work on the Tail Section, ensuring all areas, such as the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers, are reachable.
