MiG-29

The MiG-29 is an iconic air superiority and multirole fighter aircraft. Originating in the Soviet Union, the MiG-29 was developed by the Mikoyan design bureau, known in some documentation as Mig/Migavia. The design was conceived in the 1970s to serve as a light tactical fighter, complementing the heavier Sukhoi Su-27.

The first flight of the MiG-29 prototype occurred in 1977, leading to serial production that began in 1981. It officially entered service with the Soviet Air Forces in August 1983. Over 1,600 units have been built across various configurations, cementing its status as one of the most widely exported and utilized 4th-generation fighters globally.

The ongoing operation of the MiG-29 requires detailed, methodical maintenance across all sections, including the nose avionics, landing gear, and complex engine systems. Access solutions, such as modular stepover platforms and cantilever platforms, address the specific challenges of reaching these critical areas, like the Wing & Engine Pylon section for work on the turbine, compressor, and hydraulics, or the Tail Section for vertical stabilizer access. Platforms like the A Frame Aviation Platform provide sturdy access for work on the windshield and cockpit, while a super maintenance platform supports comprehensive work on the forward and AFT fuselage.
