METEOR F8

The METEOR F8 represents the definitive fighter variant of the Gloster Meteor, the first British jet aircraft and the sole Allied jet to see combat during World War II. Gloster Aircraft Manufacturing, established in 1917, was a leading British producer known for its rapid development of jet technology. The Meteor F8 served extensively post-war, transitioning into ground attack and target towing roles after being superseded as a frontline fighter.

Maintenance access for this historical jet is addressed through versatile platforms. Platforms assist with work on the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit) and the Landing Gear (Nose and Main Landing Gear). For the demanding work around the Wing & Engine Pylon—covering the engine body, anti-ice, and fuel systems—Modular Stepover Platforms and Super Service Stands provide targeted access. The Tail Section benefits from elevated access stands for work on the Vertical and Horizontal Stabiliser. These solutions ensure thorough, methodical maintenance across all critical aircraft sections.
