M337B

The Cessna M337B is part of the Cessna Skymaster family, known for its unique “push-pull” twin-engine configuration. This arrangement features one engine in the nose pulling and a second engine in the rear fuselage pushing, which offers centerline thrust and simplifies handling during engine failure. This model evolved from the original Model 336 Skymaster, which first flew in 1961 and had fixed landing gear. In 1965, Cessna introduced the Model 337 Super Skymaster, featuring retractable landing gear and improved performance.

The manufacturer, Cessna, was co-founded by Clyde Cessna in 1927. The company became foundational in general aviation, particularly known for producing high-wing, piston aircraft. Post-World War II, Cessna was one of the “Big Three” in general aviation manufacturing. While now a brand under Textron Aviation, Cessna has produced iconic aircraft like the 172 Skyhawk and the Citation family of business jets, solidifying its place as a pivotal aircraft producer.

A variety of access platforms are available to service this aircraft, addressing maintenance needs across the airframe. Modular stepover platforms and cantilever platforms allow technicians to reach the Nose Section (radome, avionics, windshield) and the Tail Section (stabilizer, rudder). Stands and lifting platforms are useful for the Wing and Engine Pylon areas, ensuring access to the engine components and fuel systems. Specialized stands can also facilitate work on the Landing Gear, Forward Fuselage components, and AFT Fuselage sections.
