M20R

The M20R Ovation is a key aircraft in the Mooney M20 family, introduced in 1994. This high-performance single-engine aircraft is powered by a 280 hp Continental IO-550-G engine. It features an elongated body and, in later models, offered an option for a TKS ice protection system. The M20R remained in production until around 2001, with nearly 200 units built.

Mooney Aircraft, founded by Albert and Arthur Mooney in 1929, has a foundational history in aviation. The company is renowned for its M20 line, which first flew in 1953 and became Mooney’s most successful design. Early M20 models initially used wood components, which were phased out by 1960. The M20 family has been continuously developed and manufactured over many decades, establishing a strong legacy in light aircraft production.

Maintenance access for the M20R demands specialized platforms and stands. A variety of solutions are used to service critical aircraft areas. These include the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, Super Service Stand, Easyraise, Bridge Deck, and Cantilever Platform. These access products support detailed, methodical maintenance across all sections, including the nose (radome, avionics, cockpit), forward fuselage, landing gear (NLG and MLG), wing box area (fuel tanks, oil maintenance), and tail section (vertical and horizontal stabilizers, rudder). Specialized products like the Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley, Super Maintenance Platform, Fibreglass Platform, A Frame Aviation Platform, and Platform Ladder Warthog further ensure first-class access for comprehensive servicing.
