M20K

The Mooney M20K is a distinguished model within the enduring M20 series of high-performance piston aircraft. Mooney Aircraft, known for its signature forward-swept tail, began producing the M20 series in 1955. The M20K, certified in 1979, introduced a turbocharged engine to the M20 airframe, greatly enhancing altitude performance. This variant was a significant step in the model’s evolution, offering speed and efficiency until its production concluded in 1998. Mooney’s commitment to speed and innovation established the M20K as a foundational aircraft in the private aviation sector.

Servicing the M20K requires first-class access for detailed maintenance across all aircraft sections. Platforms and access solutions facilitate maintenance on the nose section, ensuring proper attention to avionics and the radome. Access is also vital for the forward fuselage, addressing lighting systems and cabin entry. For the landing gear, dedicated stands assist with main and nose landing gear inspections. Furthermore, access platforms enable methodical work on the wing box area, engine components (including exhaust and fan), and the tail section for the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. These platforms are indispensable for maintaining the integrity and performance of the aircraft.
