M20J

The Mooney M20J, known commercially as the Mooney 201, is a high-performance single-engine light aircraft. Introduced in 1977, the 201 designation came from its impressive maximum cruise speed of 201 miles per hour. The aircraft was developed from the M20F model by Mooney engineer Roy LoPresti, who optimized its aerodynamics for greater speed and efficiency. The M20J remains a highly popular model in general aviation, valued for its speed and range.

Mooney Aircraft Corporation began its foundational history in 1946 when Albert and Arthur Mooney established the company in Wichita, Kansas. The company is characterized by its signature forward-swept tail, a feature present on the M20 series. Despite multiple ownership changes and production pauses over the decades, the manufacturer has consistently produced aircraft known for their speed and efficiency.

A range of platforms and access solutions assists with maintenance around the M20J. These include the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise. These products address access challenges across various sections, including the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Avionics), Landing Gear (Nose Landing Gear and Main Landing Gear), and Wing areas (Engine and Fuel Tanks). Detailed, methodical inspection of the Tail Section (Empennage) and AFT Fuselage is supported by these access stands and platforms.
