M-4-210

The M-4-210, a light utility aircraft from Maule Air, is a variant of the foundational M-4 series. Originally designated the M-4-210 Rocket, this four-seat aircraft is powered by a 210 hp Continental IO-360-A engine. A later version, the M-4-210C, added a cargo door, with 117 units of that model built.

Maule Air began with designer Belford Maule, who started the design of the M-4 in 1956. The prototype, named the Bee Dee, first flew in February 1957. Maule established the Maule Aircraft Company in Napoleon, Michigan, to develop and build the aircraft, with the first M-4 flying in September 1960. Maule Air is renowned for producing durable, short takeoff and landing (STOL) capable aircraft, a characteristic often carried through its M-series lineage.
