LC40-550FG

The Lancair LC40-550FG is a single-engine, four-seat aircraft known for its composite construction and speed. It is part of the Columbia/Corvalis series, which originated from Lancair’s foundational design philosophy of high-performance composite aviation.

Lancair was created in 1984 by Lance Neibauer, initially operating as Neico Aviation in Gardena, California. The company began by producing composite homebuilt aircraft kits, establishing a reputation for advanced design. Notable early models included the Lancair 200 and 235. To support its growth, Lancair International relocated to Redmond, Oregon. The company later transitioned from kit production to certified aircraft manufacturing, leading to the development of the Columbia series that includes the LC40 family.

Maintenance access around this aircraft requires specialized platforms and stands. These tools address maintenance needs across all major aircraft sections, including the Nose Section (avionics, cockpit), Forward Fuselage (cabin access, wheel wells), Landing Gear, Wing Box Area (fuel tanks, oil maintenance), Engine (inlet/exhaust), AFT Fuselage, and Tail Section (stabilizer, rudder).
