LAKE 250

The LAKE 250 is an amphibious aircraft, a development in the storied lineage of Lake Aircraft models known for versatility on land and water. The aircraft was produced between 1984 and 1995. AEROFAB INC. is the manufacturer associated with this model, continuing the production history of the Lake amphibian line. These aircraft are known for their unique hull design and push-prop configuration, demanding specialized procedures for maintenance due to their amphibious nature.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance around this aircraft. These solutions include the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, Super Service Stand, Easyraise, Bridge Deck, Cantilever Platform, Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley, Super Maintenance Platform, Branach Fibreglass Platform, A Frame Aviation Platform, and Platform Ladder Warthog.

These access platforms are tailored to address diverse maintenance needs across the aircraft. For the Nose Section, access is available for the radome, antenna, nose avionics, windshield, cockpit, and bulkhead. The Forward Fuselage, which includes the main entry door, cargo areas, lighting systems, cabin access, environmental control system, and forward wheel well, is easily reachable. Specialized platforms facilitate work on the landing gear (NLG and MLG), and the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area for the wing box, fuel tanks, oil maintenance, cabin interior, Wi-Fi, and emergency exits. The Wing & Engine Pylon sections require access for pylon, anti-ice, the engine components (inlet/exhaust, body, flap, fan, compressor, turbine, FADEC/EEC, hydraulics, fuel tanks/pumps, and undercowl), and the armpit area. Access solutions also cover the AFT Fuselage, including bulkheads, cargo, doors, auxiliary fuel, environmental ducting, rear avionics, and APU compartments. For the Tail Section (Empennage), access supports maintenance for the APU components, vertical stabiliser, horizontal stabiliser, and rudder.
