LA-4-200

The LA-4-200, known as the Lake Buccaneer, is an enduring amphibious aircraft manufactured by LAKE A/C DIV OF Consolidated Aeronautics. Production for the LA-4-200 began in 1969 and continued through 1981, building upon earlier models. This aircraft features a Lycoming IO-360 A1B engine (200HP) and has a gross weight of 2600 lbs, making it a powerful and versatile platform capable of operating from land and water.

A variety of maintenance platforms and access solutions are utilized to service this aircraft. These include platforms like the Reach Deck Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms, which assist with access to critical areas such as the Nose Section for avionics and cockpit maintenance, and the Forward Fuselage for cabin access and environmental control system work.

For maintaining the Landing Gear (NLG + MLG), specialized stands and platforms are vital. Equipment like the Super Trestle Scaffold and Ultraraise supports maintenance on the Middle Fuselage, including the Wing Box and fuel tanks. Engine upkeep and work on the Wing & Engine Pylon—including the inlet, exhaust, and propeller fan—is efficiently managed using platforms like the Super Maintenance Platform. Furthermore, platforms assist with access to the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage) for stabilizer and rudder service. These access solutions ensure detailed, methodical maintenance across the entire airframe.
