JAS 39E/F Gripen

The JAS 39E/F Gripen is a highly capable multirole fighter aircraft manufactured by Saab. The Gripen features a delta wing and canard configuration, relaxed stability design, and fly-by-wire flight controls. The E-series (single-seat) and F-series (two-seat) are modernized variants, both having a maximum take-off weight of 16,500 kg and 10 hardpoints for carrying weapons like the AIM-120 AMRAAM. The aircraft is designed for swift combat turnaround times, often between 10-20 minutes.

The aircraft’s manufacturer, Saab AB, is a foundational Swedish defense and aerospace company serving global markets with defense and civil security solutions. The Gripen program originated in the late 1970s when Sweden sought to replace the Saab 35 Draken and 37 Viggen. Development studies began in 1979 for an aircraft capable of fighter, attack, and reconnaissance roles. The JAS 39 Gripen first flew in 1988 and entered service with the Swedish Air Force in 1996. Over 280 units of all models have been delivered globally, making it a widely exported fighter.

Specialized access solutions, such as platform ladders, modular stepover platforms, and cantilever platforms, address maintenance requirements for critical areas including the Nose Section (avionics, radome, cockpit), Landing Gear, Wing & Engine Pylon (engine access, fuel systems), and Tail Section (stabilizers and rudder).
