J5G/A2

The J5G/A2, known as the Auster Autocar, is a British-built four-seater touring and liaison aircraft. Its design and manufacturing began just after World War II, with its first flight occurring in September 1949. The aircraft was developed by Auster Aircraft, a manufacturer with roots in Taylorcraft Aeroplanes (England) Limited.

Auster Aircraft specialized in light aircraft, evolving from military observation planes produced during the war to post-war civilian models like the Autocar. The J/5G model was adapted for various roles, and variants were utilized by military organizations, including two Autocars purchased by the Royal Australian Navy in 1949.

Various access solutions are available for this aircraft, ensuring thorough maintenance across all sections. Platforms and access stands, including deck platforms, modular stepover units, and maintenance platforms, provide access for detailed inspections. These platforms facilitate access for maintenance on the forward fuselage, landing gear, and wing areas. Specialized stands assist with tasks around the engine pylon, including work on the inlet, exhaust, and engine body. Tail section access is also supported, enabling necessary maintenance on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and the rudder.
