J2

The Auster J/2 Arrow is a single-engine, two-seat, high-wing touring monoplane developed by Auster Aircraft Limited in the 1940s. The company was based in Rearsby, Leicestershire, England. Auster Aircraft began its history building light observation aircraft for military use during World War II, evolving from Taylorcraft Aeroplanes (England) Limited. After the war, the manufacturer transitioned to producing civil aircraft, adapting its proven military designs for civilian touring and private aviation. The J/2 Arrow represents this post-war shift, with its first flight and introduction both occurring in 1945. A total of 44 units of the J/2 Arrow were built.

Maintenance and access solutions support work across key aircraft sections of the J/2 Arrow. These include access to the Nose Section for radome, antenna, and avionic components, as well as the windshield and cockpit areas. Access platforms are critical for the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area to service fuel tanks, oil maintenance points, and interior cabin systems. Furthermore, accessing the Wing and Engine Pylon, particularly the engine inlet, exhaust, and surrounding body, requires specialized height solutions to ensure thorough and methodical maintenance.

Various platforms and access solutions are available for this aircraft, including Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, Super Service Stands, Easyraise, Bridge Decks, Cantilever Platforms, and specialized Aviation Chock and Cone Trolleys, Super Maintenance Platforms, Fibreglass Platforms, A Frame Aviation Platforms, and Platform Ladder Warthog models. These solutions address access needs for components like the landing gear (both nose and main), the AFT Fuselage for bulkhead and cargo areas, and the Tail Section for the vertical and horizontal stabilisers and rudder.
