J160

The J160 is an Australian-made, two-seat light sport monoplane produced by Jabiru Aircraft. Jabiru Aircraft, based in Bundaberg, Queensland, is known for designing and manufacturing both aircraft and their proprietary engines. The J160 features a tricycle undercarriage with a steerable nosewheel and all-composite construction, purposefully designed for minimum maintenance. It is powered by the 60 kW (80 hp) Jabiru 2200B four-cylinder engine. This design has also been successfully assembled and marketed internationally.

A variety of access solutions are utilized for methodical maintenance and inspection across the J160. Platforms and stands support detailed access to critical sections. For the Nose Section, Forward Fuselage, and Landing Gear (NLG/MLG), equipment like the Reach Deck Platform and Platform Ladder is indispensable. For the Middle Fuselage, Wing Box Area, and the Wing & Engine Pylon—addressing components like the engine body and fuel tanks—Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Cantilever Platforms provide optimal positioning. The AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage), including the stabilizers and rudder, are accessible using high-reaching solutions like the Ultraraise and Easyraise.
