J1

The J/1 Autocrat, manufactured by Auster Aircraft, is a foundational British light civil utility aircraft. Auster Aircraft Limited began developing the J series at Rearsby, Leicestershire, towards the close of the Second World War. The J/1 Autocrat was introduced in 1945 and derived from the reliable Taylorcraft Auster Model J AOP.V observation aircraft. Production ran until 1952, with 420 units built, establishing the J/1 as an indispensable touring monoplane.

A range of staging and access equipment is available for maintenance needs on this aircraft. These access solutions—including the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Cantilever Platform—provide necessary access for detailed maintenance across various aircraft sections.

Access solutions aid in servicing the nose section for radome and avionics work, and the forward fuselage for cabin and entry door maintenance. They support work on the Main Landing Gear and the wing box area for fuel tank and oil maintenance. Furthermore, staging options facilitate essential maintenance tasks on the wing and engine pylon, including the engine inlet/exhaust. For the tail section, equipment supports access to the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and the rudder assembly.
