HUNTER MK 74B

The HUNTER MK 74B is a variant of the foundational Hawker Hunter, a highly maneuverable jet fighter aircraft that first flew in 1951 and entered service in 1954. Originally conceived as a single-seat day interceptor, the Hunter quickly became a mainstay in the Royal Air Force and was exported widely, serving various roles from fighter to reconnaissance and trainer.

Hawker Siddeley Aviation, the manufacturer, was formed through a series of mergers of British aerospace companies, including Hawker Aircraft and A.V. Roe and Company. This consolidation was part of a broader rationalization of the UK aircraft industry in the late 1950s and early 1960s, establishing the company as a key player in military and civilian aviation production. Across all variants, nearly 2,000 Hunter aircraft were built.

Maintenance of the HUNTER MK 74B requires reliable access to all areas. Access solutions such as the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise support detailed work on the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Avionics) and Wing & Engine Pylon (Engine Inlet/Exhaust, Fuel Tanks/Pumps).

Platforms like the Super Service Stand and Easyraise provide access for inspection and repair of the Landing Gear (Nose and Main Landing Gear) and the Forward Fuselage (Forward Wheel Well Access). For work on the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage), including the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers, Bridge Decks and Cantilever Platforms are indispensable, providing secure positioning for all comprehensive service tasks.
