HH-60 Jayhawk

The HH-60 Jayhawk is a twin-engine, medium-lift helicopter primarily utilized for search-and-rescue (SAR) missions. This aircraft is an indispensable asset, known for its high success rate in maritime and overland recoveries, saving over 11,900 lives through more than 48,300 missions since 1990.

The manufacturer, Sikorsky, is a foundational name in American aviation, established by Igor Sikorsky in 1923. Sikorsky pioneered the first successful helicopter mass-produced in the United States, the R-4, in the early 1940s. The HH-60 Jayhawk is a variant of the H-60 family, which began with the UH-60 Black Hawk program in the 1970s. Sikorsky’s history of innovation cemented its position as a global leader in rotorcraft design and production.

A range of platforms and access solutions are available for servicing this aircraft. Reach Deck Platforms and Modular Stepover Platforms are essential for General Access (AF-BF) and Wing & Engine Pylon components. For the Nose Section (Radome, Avionics, Windshield) and Tail Section (Stabilizers, Rudder), the Cantilever Platform and Ultraraise provide ideal positioning. Maintenance for Landing Gear (NLG + MLG) and Forward Fuselage access (MED, Cargo) can be efficiently managed using Super Maintenance Platforms and Super Service Stands. Specialized maintenance for the AFT Fuselage and Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area, which include APU compartments and fuel tanks, benefits from the thorough access provided by Bridge Deck systems and tough Trestle Scaffold configurations.
