HAWKER SEAFURY MK 11

Hawker Aircraft was a British manufacturer founded in 1920 as H.G. Hawker Engineering, succeeding the Sopwith Aviation & Engineering Company. The company, based in Kingston upon Thames, was responsible for foundational designs in British aviation, including the famous Hawker Hurricane. In 1963, Hawker Aircraft merged into the Hawker Siddeley Group, but its legacy of high-performance aircraft continued.

The HAWKER SEAFURY MK 11, specifically the FB. 11 fighter-bomber variant, is one of the company’s most iconic products. Developed from the earlier Hawker Fury design, the Sea Fury was Hawker’s last propeller-driven fighter. The Sea Fury first flew in February 1945 and was introduced to the Royal Navy in September 1947. This powerful, single-seat aircraft was widely used by global air forces for carrier-borne operations and accumulated a total production of 650 aircraft for the FB. 11 standard alone.
