HAWKER 850XP

The HAWKER 850XP is a notable mid-size twinjet corporate aircraft, certified in 2006. It evolved from the foundational British Aerospace 125 lineage, specifically the 800XP and 800XPi, with a paramount feature being the addition of Hawker blended winglets for superior aerodynamics and extended range. The aircraft incorporates Rockwell Collins’ ProLine 21 avionics. Approximately 100 units of the 850XP were produced before manufacturing ended in 2009.

The lineage of the Hawker series traces back to the de Havilland HS. 125 in 1964. Raytheon acquired the company’s business jets division in 1993, marketing the aircraft as part of the Hawker 800 series. While Raytheon was the manufacturer during the jet’s development phases, the type certificate and support were transferred to the reformed Beechcraft Corporation, a brand of Textron Aviation since 2014. Comprehensive maintenance requires a range of solutions, including modular platforms, service stands, and specialized scaffolds, to provide safe access for detailed work on sections like the nose radome, wing and engine pylon systems, main landing gear, and the APU compartments in the tail section.
