The GEMINI (CH-620) is a Canadian-designed, twin-engine, two-seat light aircraft engineered to compete within the single-engine market. The aircraft first flew on July 23, 1996, as a successful prototype. Development has proceeded slowly as the manufacturer prioritized other aircraft lines, meaning kit production has not yet commenced.
The Zenith Aircraft Company designs, develops, and manufactures kit aircraft. This independent, privately-owned company was founded in 1992 in Mexico, Missouri, where it operates from production facilities at Mexico Memorial Airport. The company acquired the rights to manufacture and market Zenair kit designs from designer Chris Heintz, establishing a foundational position in the recreational aviation segment.
A range of platforms and access solutions are available for maintenance on this aircraft. For the Nose Section and Landing Gear, solutions like the A Frame Aviation Platform and Cantilever Platform provide access for inspections of the Radome, Avionics, and main and nose landing gear. Forward Fuselage access for the main entry door or cargo areas can be achieved with Modular Stepover Platforms and Platform Ladder Warthog units.
For Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area and Wing & Engine Pylon maintenance (including oil, fuel tanks, and engine components), the Bridge Deck and Super Maintenance Platform offer the necessary height and reach. The Branach Fibreglass Platform is ideal for tasks requiring non-conductive access. The Ultraraise and Easyraise systems facilitate general access to the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section for servicing components like the Vertical and Horizontal Stabiliser. The Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley secures the aircraft during all maintenance activities.
