FR74S

The FR74S is an interceptor variant of the Hawker Siddeley Hunter, a distinguished British jet fighter of the Cold War era. This specific model, designed for export, provided enhanced performance and capabilities, establishing a formidable reputation across various international air forces. Its foundational design originated from the visionary work of Sir Sydney Camm at Hawker Aircraft, before the formation of Hawker Siddeley.

Hawker Siddeley Aviation was created in 1963 through a mandated consolidation of several foundational British aviation firms, including Hawker Aircraft, A.V. Roe, and de Havilland. This merger centralized immense aerospace expertise, allowing the company to manufacture and support iconic military aircraft like the Hunter, extending its service life and variants like the FR74S globally. The company was a major force in the industry until it became part of British Aerospace in 1977.

Maintaining the FR74S requires versatile height access platforms. Modular Stepover Platforms and Bridge Deck solutions can provide sturdy access across the airframe, particularly for detailed work on the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit) and the Wing & Engine Pylon area for access to components like the engine inlet and fuel systems. For work at various heights on the Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser and Horizontal Stabiliser), the Ultraraise and Cantilever Platform offer essential reach and flexibility.
