FALCON 900

The Dassault Falcon 900 is a large, long-range French business jet known for its distinctive trijet configuration. Developed by Dassault Aviation, the Falcon 900 is an evolution of the earlier Falcon 50, which itself was based on the Falcon 20. The Falcon 900 was officially announced in 1984, and its maiden flight took place on September 21, 1984. It was certified in 1986 by French and U.S. aviation authorities, and has been in production ever since, with over 500 units built.

Dassault Aviation, the manufacturer, is a globally recognized French aerospace company that has been designing and building military aircraft, business jets, and space systems for over a century. Known for innovation, Dassault developed the Falcon 900 airframe incorporating composite materials for enhanced performance.

Various versions have been introduced over the years, including the Falcon 900B (revised production version from 1991) and the long-range Falcon 900EX, which entered service in 1996 and boasts a range of 4,500 nautical miles.

Commonly used around the world by private companies and individuals for long-haul business travel, the Falcon 900 series is also utilized by military and government organizations. Primary governmental users include the French Air and Space Force, the Japan Coast Guard, the Nigerian Air Force, and the Royal Malaysian Air Force, showcasing its versatility and reliability across both civil and military applications globally.
