F28 MK0100

The F28 MK0100, part of the Fokker F28 Fellowship family, was the first passenger aircraft from Fokker to utilize twin jet engines. This short-haul jet features a low-wing configuration with its Rolls Royce Spey turbofan engines mounted on the aft fuselage, complemented by a T-tail design. Introduced into service in 1969, the F28 was foundational, paving the way for the later Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 series.

The company, Fokker, was established in 1912 by Anthony Fokker. It initially rose to prominence producing military aircraft during World War I. Throughout the 1920s and 1930s, Fokker achieved immense success, dominating the global civil aviation market. Following post-World War II rebuilding, Fokker delivered successful postwar airliners like the F27 Friendship, continuing its aviation legacy until the company ceased operations in 1996.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for this aircraft. Specialized platforms and stands facilitate access to the forward fuselage, including the cockpit and avionics in the nose section. Maintenance access is available for the main and nose landing gear. The modular equipment is used for work around the middle fuselage wing box, engine pylon areas (for engine checks, hydraulics, and fuel systems), and the tail section for the APU compartments and stabilizers. These varied access solutions ensure methodical servicing across all aircraft areas.
