F17D

The Beechcraft F17D is a version of the iconic Model 17 Staggerwing, known for its distinctive negative stagger wing configuration. Beechcraft, the manufacturer, was founded in 1932 by Walter H. Beech in Wichita, Kansas. The company began production of the Model 17 in 1933, marketing it as a luxurious, custom-built, high-performance biplane for the civil market. Despite a high initial price, the Staggerwing captured a substantial market share and remained in production until 1949, with 785 units built, including models used by Allied forces during World War II. The Beechcraft brand is recognized for sturdy, capable aircraft.

Access solutions aid maintenance across various sections of this aircraft. Elevated platforms and stands provide access for maintenance on the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Nose Avionics) and Forward Fuselage (Cabin Access).

For the Landing Gear (NLG + MLG), specialized stands and platforms are vital. Maintenance activities on the Wing & Engine Pylon area (Engine (Inlet/Exhaust), Undercowl, Fuel Tanks/Pumps) benefit from adaptable platforms like modular stepover systems and cantilever platforms.

The AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder) can be reached with high-level access platforms and trestle scaffold systems. Portable ladders and maintenance platforms also serve for General Access requirements across the aircraft.
