F/A-18E/F Super Hornet

The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a twin-engine, carrier-capable multirole fighter used primarily by the U.S. Navy. It is a derivative of the original F/A-18 Hornet, designed to offer increased range, a larger payload capacity, and improved survivability. The Super Hornet entered fleet service in 1999 and achieved initial operating capability in September 2001.

Its manufacturer, Boeing, traces its origins back to 1916, when William E. Boeing founded Pacific Aero Products Company in Seattle, Washington. The present corporation resulted from the 1997 merger of Boeing with McDonnell Douglas, building an extensive legacy in military, space, and commercial aviation. Boeing has become a global aerospace leader, designing and manufacturing some of the world’s most foundational aircraft.

Maintenance platforms and access solutions are utilized across the aircraft. For the Nose Section (including Radome and Windshield & Cockpit), Reach Deck Platforms and Modular Stepover Platforms are important. Landing Gear (NLG + MLG) maintenance benefits from stands like the Super Service Stand. For the Middle Fuselage / Wing Box Area and Wing & Engine Pylon (covering Engine Inlet/Exhaust and Hydraulics), equipment such as the Bridge Deck and Cantilever Platform provides access. For the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage), including the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers, specialized platforms ensure methodical inspection and repair.
