The EXTRA 300 is a two-seat aerobatic monoplane designed for Unlimited category competition, built by EXTRA Aircraft. Developed by German aerobatic pilot Walter Extra, the design first flew in May 1988, succeeding the wooden-winged Extra 230. The EXTRA 300 features a welded steel tube fuselage covered in aluminum and fabric, paired with a midset wing utilizing a carbon fiber composite spar and skins. The 300L variant, powered by a Lycoming AEIO-540 engine, is the most produced two-seater, known for its low-mounted wing and shortened fuselage.
