ERJ 135

The ERJ 135 is a regional jet designed for smaller passenger capacities, seating 37 passengers. It is 3.54 meters (11.6 ft) shorter than the ERJ 145, maintaining a 95% parts commonality with its larger counterpart. The ERJ 135 first entered service in 1999 and is a key member of the ERJ family, which was developed from the Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia. Production for the ERJ 135 concluded in 2020.

The manufacturer, Embraer, is a foundational name in global aviation. The company developed the ERJ family, which features twin turbofan engines and competes primarily with Bombardier CRJ regional jets. The initial model, the 45–48 seat EMB 145, was launched in 1989.
