EP-3E ARIES II

The EP-3E ARIES II is the United States Navy’s foundational land-based, multi-intelligence reconnaissance aircraft, delivering near real-time tactical SIGINT and video intelligence worldwide. Derived from the P-3 Orion series, it is powered by four Allison T-56-A-14 turboprop engines.

The manufacturer, Lockheed Martin, was formed in 1995 through the merger of Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta. Lockheed Corporation itself traces its origins back to 1912, operating under various names before being formally established in 1926. The company is responsible for designing and producing many foundational aircraft, including the P-38 Lightning and the C-130 Hercules, before evolving into the global aerospace and defense leader it is today.

Access platforms and stands are indispensable for maintaining the EP-3E ARIES II across its many complex sections. Products such as modular stepover platforms, cantilever platforms, and maintenance stands provide clear, safe access to critical areas. These solutions are key for thorough upkeep of the Nose Section (including the radome and avionics), the Wing & Engine Pylon (essential for maintaining the engines, hydraulics, and fuel systems), and the Tail Section (for servicing the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and the APU components). Specialized stands also support detailed maintenance of the Landing Gear and General Access points along the fuselage.
