EMB-145LR

The EMB-145LR is a member of the Embraer ERJ family of regional jet airliners. Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace manufacturer, is a foundational name in global aviation. The company launched the development of the ERJ 145 in 1989, initially designing it as a turbofan-powered stretch of their existing turboprop EMB 120 Brasilia. The ERJ 145 family, which includes the EMB-145LR, had its first flight on August 11, 1995, and was introduced into service in April 1997. The series proved highly successful, with over 1,240 units built across the ERJ 135, ERJ 140, and ERJ 145 variants, solidifying its role in regional air transport. The ‘LR’ designation indicates the Long Range variant, featuring extended operational capabilities.
