The Airbus Helicopters EC175 B is a foundational medium utility helicopter. Formerly known as the Eurocopter EC175, the program’s initial development was a collaboration with China’s Harbin Aircraft Industry Group. The first prototype took its maiden flight in Marignane, France, in December 2009, with the second following in December 2010. EASA type certification was secured in 2014.
