EC175 B

The Airbus Helicopters EC175 B is a foundational medium utility helicopter. Formerly known as the Eurocopter EC175, the program’s initial development was a collaboration with China’s Harbin Aircraft Industry Group. The first prototype took its maiden flight in Marignane, France, in December 2009, with the second following in December 2010. EASA type certification was secured in 2014. The EC175 has since been successfully deployed for various missions, including offshore transport for the oil and gas industry, search and rescue, and executive transport.

Maintaining this complex aircraft demands detailed and methodical access across its structure. Specialized height access products, such as mobile platforms and sturdy scaffolding, are employed to facilitate procedures on critical areas. These tools are indispensable for technicians working on the nose section components like the radome and avionics, as well as the forward fuselage areas including the main entry door, cargo holds, and environmental control system components.

Access solutions are also vital for the landing gear, the main gearbox, and the middle fuselage components like the fuel tanks and wing box. Furthermore, they support work on the engine pylons, where meticulous attention is required for the anti-ice systems, engine bodies, fans, compressors, and turbines. The tail section, including the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and rudder, along with the aft fuselage and its rear avionics and auxiliary power unit compartments, all benefit from unparalleled access systems. These access tools enable efficient servicing of every part of the aircraft.
