EC135 P3

The EC135 P3 is a twin-engine light utility helicopter manufactured by Airbus Helicopters. This model is a key evolution of the EC135 family, initially developed in the late 1980s by what was then Eurocopter. The first prototype of the EC135 line, the Bo 108, flew in 1988, paving the way for the production variant known for its maneuverability, quiet operation, and Fenestron tail rotor. Airbus Helicopters, a division of Airbus Group, is the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer and continues the legacy of companies like Aérospatiale and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB). The EC135 P3 is widely used for emergency medical services (EMS), law enforcement, and utility operations globally.

A full suite of access solutions is used to facilitate detailed maintenance across this aircraft. These offerings, including Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, Ultraraise, and Super Service Stands, provide safe and precise access.

These access solutions are instrumental in servicing many aircraft sections. They ensure technicians can reach the Nose Section components like avionics and the windshield, and critical parts of the Forward Fuselage, including the cabin access points and the environmental control system. Access to the Landing Gear (both Nose and Main) is streamlined. For the Tail Section (Empennage), the platforms provide access to the vertical and horizontal stabilisers, and the rudder. Comprehensive platforms are also used for general fuselage access.
