EC-130H Compass Call

The EC-130H Compass Call is an airborne tactical electronic warfare system. It is a heavily modified version of the foundational Lockheed C-130 Hercules airframe, designed to deny, degrade, and disrupt enemy command and control communications. The Compass Call had its first flight in 1981 and reached initial operating capability with the U.S. Air Force in 1983. Lockheed Martin, a paramount aerospace and defense company, built the original airframe. Its history traces back to the merger of Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta in 1995, building on a legacy of aviation innovation, including the long-running C-130 program.

A variety of access solutions support the maintenance needs of this specialized aircraft. Reach Deck Platform, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Modular Stepover Platforms are conducive for detailed maintenance across the Forward and Aft Fuselage, addressing areas like Cargo/Baggage, Cabin Access, and Rear Avionics. The Super Service Stand is suited for Engine Pylon maintenance, including the Fan, Compressor, and Turbine sections. A Frame Aviation Platform and Cantilever Platform assist with Tail Section (Empennage) tasks, providing access to the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers. Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley provides stability for General Access and Landing Gear (NLG + MLG) operations. These access systems are indispensable for comprehensive upkeep across the aircraft’s crucial sections.
