EC 120 B

The EC 120 B is a single-engine light utility helicopter, also known as the Colibri (Hummingbird). It is manufactured by Airbus Helicopters, formerly Eurocopter. Its design priorities focused on cost-effectiveness, safety, and a low noise signature.

Airbus Helicopters traces its history back to the formation of Eurocopter in 1992, through the merger of Aerospatiale and Daimler-Benz Aerospace. The EC 120 B first flew on June 9, 1995, and the first unit was delivered in 1998. By 2008, over 550 Colibris were delivered globally. In China, the aircraft is locally manufactured as the HC120 by Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (HAMC).

A selection of access solutions is available for maintaining the EC 120 B across its various sections, ensuring technician safety and efficiency. These platforms and stands offer coverage for detailed maintenance on the Nose Section (including avionics and windshield), the Forward Fuselage (like cabin access and cargo areas), and the Landing Gear bays.

The access equipment supports work on the Tail Section, including the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and the rudder. Comprehensive platforms are also used for servicing the aircraft’s main components, such as the engine and its related systems. These specialized access solutions facilitate methodical inspection and maintenance procedures across the entire aircraft structure.
