EA 300

The Extra Flugzeugbau EA300, widely known as the Extra 300, is a high-performance, two-seat aerobatic monoplane designed for Unlimited category competition. It features a welded steel tube fuselage covered in aluminum and fabric, and a midset wing constructed with a carbon fiber composite spar and skins. The design, created by German aerobatic pilot Walter Extra, first appeared in 1987, drawing inspiration from the earlier Extra 230 model. Since 1988, various variants, such as the single-seat 300S and the low-wing 300L, have been manufactured and remain active today.

The manufacturer, Extra Aircraft, was originally established in Germany as Extra Flugzeugbau in 1980 by Walter Extra. The company was founded specifically for the design and development of his own aerobatic aircraft. Over the decades, Extra Aircraft has maintained its focus on producing precision aerobatic and touring planes, building a reputation for high-quality, high-performance aviation.
