The E75 aircraft is a variant of the foundational Boeing-Stearman Model 75, often known as the Kaydet. This iconic biplane served as a primary military trainer for the United States during the 1930s and 1940s, with over 10,000 units built. The Model 75 lineage began production in 1934. The aircraft was originally manufactured by Stearman Aircraft, which became a subsidiary of Boeing in 1934. The E75 variant specifically saw extensive use as the N2S-5 trainer, powered by a Lycoming R-680-17 engine, with 1,450 delivered for service. Its design is synonymous with American military aviation training of the era.
Various platforms and access solutions are necessary to maintain the E75. Modular platforms and trestle scaffold are used for access to the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead) and Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder). Specialized stands, lifts, and decking assist with access to the Middle Fuselage, Wing & Engine Pylon (Engine Body, Flap), and Landing Gear areas. These access solutions provide technicians with secure and efficient positioning for methodical inspections and maintenance tasks across the airframe.
