DO 228-202

The DO 228-202 is a versatile twin-turboprop utility aircraft, recognized for its short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities and efficiency in regional transport and specialized missions. It is part of the Dornier 228 family, a successful design that originated in Germany.

The Dornier company, founded by Claude Dornier in 1914, has a foundational history in German aviation, known for pioneering innovative aircraft designs, particularly flying boats and multi-engine planes. The DO 228 series was developed in the late 1970s, making its first flight in 1981, and introduced a new wing design known as the TNT (Tragflügel Neuer Technologie). The -202 model is an advanced variant that established the aircraft’s strong reputation globally before production was transferred and later revitalized by other entities.

Access solutions, including elevated platforms and trestle scaffold, are essential for detailed maintenance and inspection of this aircraft. These products support methodical access to critical areas such as the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead, Avionics), Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), and the Wing & Engine Pylon (Engine Inlet/Exhaust, Undercowl, Engine Body). Modular and specialized platforms facilitate thorough service across the entire airframe, including the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section.
