DHC-2 BEAVER MK1

The DHC-2 BEAVER MK1, manufactured by DE Havilland, is renowned as a foundational utility transport aircraft, primarily operated as a bush plane for remote air carriers. The secret to its successful design was the direct involvement of Canadian bush pilots during its development. This aircraft, famous for its Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) capability, has been widely used for passenger hauling and cargo operations.

The DHC-2 Beaver was manufactured by de Havilland Canada, which was active from 1947 to 1967. The first flight of the aircraft occurred on August 16, 1947, with its introduction in 1948. A total of 1,657 units were built during its production run. The original designation for the DHC-2 aircraft used by the U.S. military was C-127, later redesignated L-20.
