DHC-1 T MK 10

The DHC-1 T MK 10 is the Royal Air Force (RAF) variant of the De Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk, an iconic trainer aircraft. This variant was powered by the Gipsy Major 8 engine and served as the standard primary trainer for the RAF for many years, seeing wide export service with at least 14 air forces beyond the RAF and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).

The manufacturer, DE Havilland, was a foundational name in British and Canadian aviation. De Havilland Canada (DHC) was established in 1928 to build De Havilland aircraft for the Canadian market and later became famous for producing hardy, successful aircraft tailored for harsh environments, such as the Chipmunk.

A range of access solutions supports detailed maintenance around the DHC-1 T MK 10. These solutions, including the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Ultraraise, and Super Service Stand, facilitate methodical access across the aircraft’s critical areas. Elevated access is vital for comprehensive maintenance across the Nose Section (including the Windshield & Cockpit and Bulkhead), the Wing & Engine Pylon (accessing the Engine Body, Inlet/Exhaust, and Undercowl), and the Tail Section (Empennage) for the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers and Rudder. These products ensure first-class service for this classic airframe.
