The DH-82A Tiger Moth is an iconic single-engined, biplane trainer aircraft developed by De Havilland. It features a two-seat tandem cockpit and conventional landing gear, primarily designed for pilot instruction for both military and civilian use. The DH-82A variant, also known as the RAF Tiger Moth II, was powered by the de Havilland Gipsy Major I engine of 130 hp, representing an upgrade from the original DH.82 model. Introduced in February 1932, the DH-82A played a foundational role for the Royal Air Force, serving as the predominant primary trainer leading up to and during WWII.
The De Havilland Aircraft Company was established by Geoffrey de Havilland in 1920. The company became renowned for designing and manufacturing light, efficient, and successful aircraft throughout the 20th century. The DH.60 Moth series, which preceded the DH-82 Tiger Moth, set the stage for De Havilland’s training aircraft lineage. The Tiger Moth’s production ran from 1931 to 1944, with many units constructed during the war for training commands across the Commonwealth.

They enable thorough access to the Nose Section, including the Windshield and Cockpit, as well as the Engine for critical maintenance on the piston engine. These products also aid in access around the Main Landing Gear, Wing, and Tail Section (Empennage) for meticulous inspection and repair of the horizontal and vertical stabilizers.
