DH-104 SERIES 8

The DH-104 SERIES 8, also known as the Dove Mk. 8, represents the final production variant of the foundational de Havilland Dove line. First flown in 1960, this light twin-engine aircraft was engineered primarily as an executive or business transport, typically configured for six passengers. Production of this model continued until 1968.

The De Havilland Aircraft Company, the manufacturer, was established by Geoffrey de Havilland. Early success came with the DH. 60 Cirrus Moth in 1925, an aircraft that saw unparalleled production for a civil design at the time. The company’s manufacturing history spanned from the 1920s, with operations first at Stag Lane before moving to Hatfield, Hertfordshire, in 1932. Throughout its history, de Havilland produced influential aircraft ranging from trainers and airliners to military designs.
