DC3C-S1C3G

The DC3C-S1C3G is a variant of the legendary Douglas DC-3, an aircraft that revolutionized air travel. The DC-3 first flew in 1935 and quickly became the most successful airliner of its time, notable as the first to fly profitably without relying on government subsidies. Over 13,000 civil and military versions were produced globally, including licensed construction in Russia and Japan. Its enduring design meant the DC-3 remained in service for decades.

The original manufacturer was Douglas Aircraft Company. This foundational company later merged with McDonnell Aircraft Corporation in 1967 to form McDonnell Douglas. The DC3C-S1C3G model continues this rich lineage of foundational aircraft engineering, which later became part of a major aerospace and defense conglomerate.
