DA40-D

The DA40-D is a variant of the Diamond DA40 Diamond Star, an Austrian four-seat, single-engine light aircraft built with composite materials. Developed as a larger version of the DA20, the DA40 is recognized for its durable composite airframe, excellent handling, and ultra-low fuel burn, making it a foundational choice for training and travel. The DA40 program first flew in 1997 and remains actively in production.

Diamond Aircraft Industries began in 1981 as Hoffmann Flugzeugbau. Following a takeover by the Dries family in 1991, the company expanded, establishing Diamond Canada in 1992 and officially becoming Diamond Aircraft in 1996. Production centers are based in Austria and Canada, successfully developing a fleet known for safety and efficiency.

A range of platforms and access solutions are available for this aircraft. Products such as the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, and Super Service Stands address access needs across critical sections. These systems are invaluable for maintaining the Nose Section, including avionics and the windshield, and the Forward Fuselage for cargo and lighting systems. The solutions also facilitate detailed maintenance on the Landing Gear, Wing Box Area, and Tail Section (Empennage), ensuring thorough service across the entire airframe.
