DA-20-C1

The DA-20-C1, often known as the Eclipse, is a high-performance, single-piston-engine monoplane designed primarily for flight training and personal use. Known for its composite structure and excellent fuel efficiency, the DA-20 series originated from the DV20 Katana motor glider. The C1 variant is powered by a Continental IO-240-B3B engine, contributing to its popularity as a contemporary trainer aircraft globally.

Diamond Aircraft Industries, the manufacturer, began its history in 1981 in Austria as Hoffmann Flugzeugbau, founded by Wolf Hoffmann. The company focused initially on motor gliders. After various transitions, including becoming Dimona Aircraft, the company established a production presence in Canada and was officially rebranded as Diamond Aircraft in 1996. Diamond has since become a foundational aerospace manufacturer, specializing in efficient light aircraft and simulators. The company continues to innovate, developing advanced models and propulsion systems, solidifying its position in the general aviation market.

Maintenance access for this aircraft is supported by a variety of platforms and access solutions, including Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Super Service Stands. These systems are utilized for detailed maintenance tasks across the aircraft, such as the Nose Section (including the Windshield & Cockpit), Forward Fuselage, Landing Gear, and Wing areas. Cantilever Platforms and Platform Ladders further aid in providing necessary access for comprehensive service.
