CL-600-2B16

The CL-600-2B16 is the designation for the Challenger 604, a foundational aircraft in the Challenger family of business jets. This model entered production in 1989, recognized for its twin CF-34-3B engines, which offer excellent performance and range. The Challenger series originated with Canadair, which developed the original design.

The manufacturer, Bombardier, has a long history, but its entry into the business jet market began when Bombardier Aerospace acquired Canadair in 1986. This acquisition allowed the company to transform the Challenger into a successful family of aircraft, leading to the development and production of models like the CL-600-2B16.

For aircraft maintenance, access solutions are indispensable across all major sections of the CL-600-2B16. Platforms are used for the Nose Section (Windshield and Cockpit, Radome, Avionics) and the Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo, ECS). Specialized stands and platforms are vital for the Wing & Engine Pylon area, facilitating thorough maintenance on the Pylon, Engines, Hydraulics, and Fuel Pumps. Access is also needed for the Landing Gear, the Middle Fuselage, the AFT Fuselage (Bulkhead, APU Compartments, Rear Avionics), and the Tail Section for servicing the APU and the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers.
