CH-53K King Stallion

The CH-53K King Stallion is a heavy-lift helicopter, representing a complete redesign of its predecessor, the CH-53E. This aircraft features paramount improvements including new engines and an updated cockpit layout, which contribute to over twice the lift capacity and radius of action compared to the CH-53E. The cargo hold is wider, allowing it to carry a Humvee internally.

The manufacturer, Sikorsky, has a foundational history in aviation. Founded in 1923 by Igor Sikorsky, the company pioneered the development of production helicopters, with the VS-300 establishing the fundamental design still used today. Sikorsky remains a leading force in heavy-lift and utility rotary-wing aircraft, now operating as a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for detailed maintenance on the CH-53K King Stallion. These include Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, and Super Service Stand. These products help solve access needs for numerous sections, including the Nose Section (Windshield and Cockpit, Bulkhead, Avionics), the Wing and Engine Pylon (Engine Inlet/Exhaust, Fan, Compressor, Turbine, Hydraulics), and the AFT Fuselage (APU Compartments, AFT Bulkhead). Detailed access is also provided for the Landing Gear and the Tail Section (Vertical and Horizontal Stabiliser).
