CAP 232

The CAP 232 is a single-seat sportplane specifically optimized for world-class aerobatic competition. The prototype first flew on July 7, 1994, and achieved French certification in March 1995. It built upon the success of earlier designs, like the CAP 231 (born in 1990), which featured a wooden wing and was known for its precise controllability and impressive power-to-weight ratio. Approximately 40 units of the CAP 232 were built by late 2002.

CAP Industries, the manufacturer, is part of the lineage of French manufacturers specializing in high-performance aerobatic aircraft, traceable through companies like Mudry. This heritage is dedicated to creating aircraft with high G-stress capabilities (+10/-10 G for its predecessors) required for competitive flight.

Maintaining this high-performance aircraft demands access solutions across all sections. Platforms are available for the nose section (windshield and cockpit access), landing gear, and general access points. Specialized work stands are available to support detailed tasks around the wing, engine pylon, and tail section (vertical and horizontal stabilizers). These solutions ensure thorough servicing of all critical components.
